ST ENODOC GOLF CLUB
Just a stone's throw away in Rock, St Enodoc is consistently ranked among the top courses in England - and it is easy to see why. Set among towering, natural sand dunes overlooking the Camel Estuary and Padstow, its famous Church Course offers a thrillingly stern test of golf. The most spectacular part of this course is that is centres around a once hidden church; from being buried under the sand for hundreds of years to emerging to be the pinnacle of the course in 1863. Fun fact, St Enodoc has one of the tallest bunkers in Europe at hole 6!
This course is perfect for golfers looking for a memorable challenge and jaw-dropping coastal landscapes. They also have the shorter Holywell Course for a quicker, more relaxed round.
TREVOSE GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
Heading over towards Constantine Bay, Trevose offers a truly magnificent, classic experience shaped by the elements. Designed by the legendary Harry Colt in 1925, the Championship Course is laid out in two loops of nine holes. The front nine literally hugs the rugged coastline, giving you uninterrupted, sweeping views across the Atlantic to Booby’s Bay and the distant Quies Rocks.
Soak in the unbeatable panoramic views from the clubhouse terrace after your round - perfect for a post-match drink as the sun sets over the dunes. This course is perfect for players wanting to test themselves on an immaculate, championship-standard layout that plays beautifully all 12 months of the year.
THE POINT
Nestled just above the estuary between Rock and Polzeath, The Point offers a wonderful alternative to the traditional course. This 18-hole course blends a parkland-style layout with a stunning coastal backdrop looking out toward Pentire Point. Over the last few years, a massive investment in sustainable presentation has turned its greens into some of the best in the county.
This course promotes a genuinely relaxed atmosphere where visitors, families, and even well-behaved dogs on leads are given a warm Cornish welcome. The point is a fun, fair, but rewarding round for golfers of all abilities, especially if you want to combine a morning on the green with a great lunch at their on-site restaurant, The Bear Bar.
GOOD THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TEE OFF
Due to these courses are highly regarded, tee times get snapped up quickly - especially during the warmer months. We highly recommend booking well in advance. In addition, St Enodoc’s Church Course and Trevose’s Course usually require a valid handicap certificate for visitors, whereas The Point offers a bit more flexibility for casual players.
